“How did the Cold War affect us?”

The Cold War affected us with political ideology foreign policy, the presidency, domestic economy, and Americans that are creating a climate that is conformity and being normal. Of course, the Cold War has changed people’s ways of living, the way to fight in wars, world politics, and technology being modernized with machines and weapons.

South Korea and US relations

The US and South Korea have a long history of being allied with the military. South Korea has been helping/supporting the US in every war, since the Vietnam War. During the Pandemic, there was a bit of a problem between the two since they started control borders against American visa Holders. But just recently Joe Biden with the President of South Korea to recover the supply chain. Ans Seoul to tighten coordination on its policy towards North Korea.

Political Cartoon

The cartoon image says it all but when Donald Trump was President. He thought everyone was on his side when really mostly every person wanted him out. One way I connect it to the cold war is the people were against him just like the rivalry with the United States and soviet union.

North Korea and US relations

Since the US Army and South Korean Military support each other their relations should be defined. But also the US economy has forced/taken orders against North Korea since their nuclear program. But North Korea has also commanded that the US should take away the nuclear arsenal that can potentially reach Korean region.

China and the US after the Cold War

There are a lot of things that happened after the cold war between China and us but in 2020 Trump and the Chinese vice premier, signed an agreement. But of course, when COVID started going on Trump wouldn’t let anyone from China cross. And Trump blamed and called it the Chinese virus which is racist. Even if Joe Biden is now our president, the relationship between the US and China isn’t too much of a change.

Was the cold war necessary?

There are many opinions on ‘If the Cold War was really Necessary”. This person’s opinion was really helpful in seeing some other points of view. And how it could have miscommunications and ignorance can lead to.
